Description

Leny's is a handsome detached stone house, situated in beautiful countryside. The property has been recently fully renovated and tastefully refurnished. The extensive gardens give plenty of scope for relaxation and the house enjoys outstanding views of the surrounding scenery. The house is just one mile from Middleton-in-Teesdale, a thriving market town with many interesting shops and places to eat.

A large forest adjacent to the house provides wonderful woodland walks, with streams and becks, which are ideal for picnics, paddling or just enjoying the peace and tranquillity. Miles of public footpaths, quiet country lanes, forest tracks and heather moors, make the area ideal for walking, cycling and pony-trekking.

Nearby attractions include the Bowes museum, Raby Castle and High Force, which, at 70ft, is the highest unbroken waterfall in England. The house is only approx. one hour's drive from Durham, York, the Beamish Museum, the Lake District and Hadrian's Wall.

Accommodation includes a spacious fully fitted dining kitchen with a log-burning stove. A glass sun-room and cosy sitting room, with open fire, providing ample areas for relaxation, whatever the season. Upstairs, the landing leads to a large double bedroom. The second bedroom has both a double and a single bed. The third bedroom accommodates two bunk beds. The fully fitted bathroom includes a bath and separate shower cubicle.
